LEO GEORGE LOBPRIES Obituary

LEO GEORGE LOBPRIES, 89, passed away April 12, 2010. He was born in Schulenburg, Texas, on November 18, 1920, the son of William and Ludmilla Klesel Lobpries. He is preceded in death by six siblings. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rosalie Kainer Lobpries. Daughters, Marcia Reynolds (Jim), Karen Jackson (Jim), and Deborah Buck (Ronnie); grandchildren, John Reynolds (Michelle), Stephanie Reynolds, Kevin Jackson (Jaclyn), Laura Jackson, Sarah Jackson, Christopher Buck (Nina), Ryan Buck, Corey Buck; great-grandchildren, Alison and Meredith Reynolds, Marissa Jackson, Dylan Verklas and Luka Buck.He served in the Pacific during World War II with the 33rd Seabees Battalion. He retired from Cameron Iron Works after 35 years. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church where he served as usher and was a member of their Men's Club. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus 2917, SPJST Lodge 88 and their Men's Club and American Legion Post 560.There will be a visitation on Wednesday, April 14th from 6:00 to 8:00pm, the rosary will be recited at 7:00pm at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 3600 Brinkman, Houston 77018. Funeral mass will be at 10:30am on Thursday, April 15th at St. Rose of Lima.In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Capital Campaign for Legacy of Faith (St. Rose) or a charity of your choice. -->
