Baylor Frank Sutton was the grandson of Newton Andrew Baylor (1847-1891), a Kirksville, Missouri dry goods merchant between 1880 and 1890, and Newton's 2nd wife Minnie Marmaduke who was related to two Missouri governors. Their daughter was Evelyn Marmaduke Baylor who was the mother of Baylor Frank Sutton.
