DR. NEWTON ABLES DIES

Dr. Newton Ables, a resident of Scottsboro for many years, died here last Monday and was buried at Larkinsville Tuesday.
Dr. Ables was born in Pulaski, Tenn., in 1856. For the past few months his health has been declining, but his family and friends did not realize that the end was so near.
He has practiced veterinary surgery here for many years and was known all over the county.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. G.E. Spencer of Sheffield, and Mrs. J. B. Clark of New Hope, and one sister, Mrs. Paul Reagan of Huntsville, to whom we extend sympathy.

PROGRESSIVE AGE
May 12, 1921.
