Thomas "Tom" R. Minton Diamondhead, MS Thomas "Tom" R. Minton, 78, of Diamondhead, MS went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 in Bay St. Louis, MS. He was born in Elizabeth City, NC and has been a resident for 34+ years in Diamondhead, MS. He was a Veteran having served in the U.S. Army for 8 years and was a member of the Diamondhead Community Church. Tom retired from the Federal Government as a Computer Manager. He loved spending time with his family which included coaching his children and grandchildren in baseball, soccer, T-ball and softball. He also enjoyed golfing. Tom was a wonderful husband, dad, son, granddad and friend to many, and he will be sadly missed. He is preceded in death by his father, Foye Minton, son, Thomas "Tommy" Minton, Jr., 2 brothers, Gordon Minton and F.C. Minton. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Joyce Minton of Diamondhead, MS, 2 daughters and their spouses, Susan Simmons and Alan of Diamondhead, MS, Darlene Cormier and Kirk of Diamondhead, MS, mother, Majorie Rowe & husband, Richard of Elizabeth City, NC, 2 sister-in-laws, Phyllis Minton of Camden, NC, Armelle Minton of Wanchese, NC, step-brother, Marvin G. Meiggs & wife, Pat of Gallatin, TN, and his 5 grandchildren, Dylan Simmons, Austin Simmons, Madison Simmons, Emalie Cormier and Mark Cormier. The Visitation is Saturday, December 6, 2014 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the Diamondhead Community Church in Diamondhead, MS with a Funeral Service at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Rotten Bayou Cemetery in Kiln, MS. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Diamondhead Community Church, 5301 Diamondhead Circle, Diamondhead, MS 39525.
