Jesse Lee Hale - age 90 of Lenoir City, went home to be with our Lord early on June 15, 2015. He was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on August 14, 1924. After finishing high school, he joined the U. S. Army Air-Corp during W. W. II. After the war was over, he went to work for National Airlines in Miami, FL.

He continued his education and became a flight engineer and then went on to become a pilot. He worked for them for 35 years and at the time he retired he was a pilot for Pan Am. J. L. moved back to Lenoir City with his wife, Elaine, in 1983 where he became active in the Highland Park Ruritan Club and Avery Masonic Lodge for 25 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben Hale and Beulah Morton Hale; sister, Mary Mayes and nephew, Eddie Mayes.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Elaine McNeil Hale; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Ed Osborne; three grandchildren, Darrol McGraw, Lorrie McGraw Strange and husband, Kiley, and David McGraw; two great-grandchildren, Jesse Lee McGraw and Caressa Nichole McGraw. The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Tag Hart and his staff for their excellent care which contributed to his many years of good health.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Eddie Chasteen officiating. A masonic service will follow conducted by the Avery Masonic Lodge #593 F & AM. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home by 9:30 Friday morning and proceed to the Lakeview Cemetery for 10 a.m. graveside services.

Serving as pallbearers: Darrol McGraw, Jesse McGraw, David McGraw, Kyley Strange, Tim Cole, and Moe Jackson. Honorary pallbearers will be: Ed Osborne, Vonnie Myers, Chet Wofsy, Fred Dills, Clifton Guider, and Jimmy Mayes. Click Funeral Home, 109 Walnut Street, Lenoir City is in charge of arrangements.
