Vivian Cannon, age 79 of Bridgeport, formerly of North Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Saturday June 13, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. She was born to the late Fred and Alberta Taylor on November 15, 1935.

Vivian was a resident of Bridgeport for the past fifty-five years where she was employed by Astoria Park for several years. Mother Cannon was a faithful member of Little Zion Church of Christ where she served on the Mothers board, Missionary board, Usher board, and the Mass Choir.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Lindberg Cannon, and her two sons Lindberg Cannon Jr., and Willie Earl Cannon. She leaves to cherish her memory 4 sons, Oscar Raynor-Cannon of Charlotte, NC; Marc Cannon of Bridgeport, CT; Robert Shannon of Naugatuck, CT and Louis Cannon of Bridgeport, CT. Five daughters, Patricia Ross of Brooklyn, NY; Beth Cannon of Bridgeport, CT; Linda Cannon- Boyd of New Bern, NC; LaWanda Cannon of Bridgeport, CT; and Jocelyn Cannon of New Bern, NC. She also has one spiritual daughter Josephine Jenkins of Brooklyn, NY; one sister Hattie M. Jones of Brooklyn, NY; twenty-three grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 20, 2015. The viewing will begin at 11AM and the Celebration of Life will commence at 1PM at Little Zion Church of Christ, 4. Dr. Martin Luther King Dr. South Norwalk, CT 06854 with Elder Leon Ellison, officiating. Interment will take place Monday June 22, 2015, 9am at Lakeview Cemetery. See www.mortonsmortuary.com
