"Margaret McLarty Duncan, 91, of Corpus Christi, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2001. She was born February 22, 1910 in Wood County, Texas to Charlie A. and Myrtis Cochran McLarty. She had lived in Corpus Christi since her marriage to H.T. "Shorty" Duncan in March of 1930. She was a charter member of Annaville Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years and was well loved, remembered, and known. She was the Food Handler Supervisor at Robstown Riverside Hospital until her retirement in 1975. Prior to that, she worked at the Hilltop Hospital in dietary for 15 years. After her retirement, she continued working in various hospitals in Corpus Christi, retiring again in 1980.

She was preceded in death by her husband, HT "Shorty" Duncan, two sons, Richard E. Duncan and H.A. "Rusty" Duncan, and one grandson, Donald D. Smith.

She is survived by one son, John H (Amy) Duncan of Dallas, TX, one daughter, Helen (Don) Smith of Corpus Christi; 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; her dear friend and sister-in-law, Jo Ann Thomas of Corpus Christi, TX; many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends."
