Marlow: Arnold Lawson Davis, 93, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 9, 2018 in Marlow.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at the Glory Bound Church, with Rev. David Woods officiating. Burial will follow in the Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs.

Arnold was born Thursday, May 1, 1924 in Carnegie, to John and Ella Mae (Rudd) Davis. He was raised in the Carnegie area and graduated from Carnegie High School. Arnold was a World War II Veteran in the Air Force, who served from December 7, 1942 to November 4, 1945 as a flight engineer and top gunner. He had a passion for baseball and had played in the minor triple A league. Arnold signed with the Cleveland Indians and was traded to the Cincinnati Reds. He was an avid farmer and rancher and was active in peanut farming in Rush Springs for many years. Arnold married his loving wife Patsy Heard on February 4, 1972 in Rush Springs, they had been married for 46 wonderful years before his passing. He had made a lasting impression on children as he taught Sunday school at the Assembly of God Church and was a Royal Ranger Commander.

Survivors include, his wife, Pat Davis of the home, 2 sons, Sonny Davis of Marlow, Harmon Davis and Ashley Brown of Marlow, 2 daughters, Linda McCutcheon and husband Terry of Marlow, daughter, Regina Simpson and husband Tony of Bridge Creek. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, Stanton, Brendan, Courtney, Phillip, Daniel, Jessie, Jennifer, Joshua, Crystal, Rocky, Kaley, Holden, Houston, Kadyn, Maverick, 20 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 grandsons, Jonathan Ball, Dax Davis, a sister, Violet Becker, and an uncle, John Rudd.
