GOULDSBORO – Dorothy J. Hutchings (Harrington, Ginn) died on June 13, 2015, in Ellsworth. She was the daughter of Shelton and Adlean (Strout) Jordan. She was born on May 30, 1917.
She graduated from Prospect Harbor Grammar School and also attended Winter Harbor High School. During WWII, she moved to Connecticut where she worked at International Silver Company in Wallingford and also General Motors New Departure. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 744 of Addison, ME. She graduated from Eastern Academy of Beauty Culture of Bangor. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crafts.
She is survived by 2 sons, Arthur Harrington Jr. and wife, Lena; and 3 children, David, Kathleen, and Stephen of Virginia Beach; Mark Ginn and wife, Kathy; and 3 daughters, Christine, Michelle, and Melissa of Eastbrook; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, 1 special nephew, Danny Mitchell and wife, Charlotte of Gouldsboro.
She was predeceased by her husband, Horace; 4 brothers, Lawrence, Carlton, Oswald, and Donald; 3 sisters, Verna, Gladys, and Myrtle.
Graveside service at Prospect Harbor Cemetery. Arrangements by Warren-Kelley Funeral Home in Milbridge.
