Tiner died at 3am Friday in Methodist Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Cleburne and moved to Lubbock in 1925. He married Nell Walker on Nov. 2, 1944 in Crosbyton. He attended school in Woodrow and worked as a salesman. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife; a brother, Jack of Hale Center; and a sister, Virginia Snelling of Hale Center.
