Randy Fred Pierce, 51 years old, returned home to his Heavenly Father on Monday, June 15, 2015 after a long and courageous battle with cancer at his home.

He was born September 3, 1963 to Fred C. Pierce and Shirleen M. Butcher. He married his sweetheart Barbara Ann Elmer on November 9, 1991 in Elko, Nevada.

Randy enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, and camping. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Ann Pierce, three children, Chris Roberts, Amanda (J. J.) Hansen, Tyson Pierce, all of Layton; and two grandsons Gage, Colton, his parents Fred and Shirleen Pierce, Layton; two sisters, Terry Winters, Layton; Debbie (Carl) Rossander, Clearfield; brother Larry Pierce, Layton; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Applegate Hospice Care and a special thanks to Kelli his hospice nurse.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
