WATERBURY — Mrs. Essie Mae (Simmons) Collins, of 44 Center St. in Waterbury, passed on Thursday, June 11, 2015, at Saint Mary's Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Collins was born May 7, 1925, the mother of four loving children, Mr. Elmer Simmons of Norfolk, Va., Mrs. Elizabeth (Collins) Hurdle of Waterbury, Mr. Henry Collins of New Britain and Mr. Rodney Collins of Waterbury.
A home going service will be held Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Zion Baptist Church, 137 Pearl St. Calling hour will be held from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. with family receiving friends from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial will be held in All Saints Cemetery, 203 Spring Lake Road.
