Roger Irwin Hardman, Sr., 71, of Finksburg, Wednesday June 10, 2015 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster. Born September 12, 1943 in Clarksburg, WV, he was the son of the late Roscoe Irwin and Wanda Mae Duke Hardman. He was the husband of Eunice L. Carver Hardman, his wife of 49 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from AT&T and was working part-time at Crae Controls in Finksburg. He enjoyed shooting groundhogs, fishing and his feline family. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are daughter, Shari-Lynn Schaeffer of Finksburg; son, Roger I. Hardman, Jr. of Abingdon; sister, Barbara Dvorak of Dagsboro, DE. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews in Maryland, California, Pennsylvania and Delaware. The family will receive friends Saturday June 20 from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10 a.m. Saturday at Eline Funeral Home, 2901 Bloom Road, Finksburg. Entombment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society , 1393 Progress Way, Suite 908, Eldersburg, MD 21784 or the American Heart Association , P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058.
