ASHEBORO - James "Jim" Everette Parris, 78, of North Pointe Assisted Living, Asheboro, died Sunday, March 23, 2003 at Randolph Hospital.

Funeral service will be 4 p.m. Tuesday at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro, with the Rev. Garry L. Reeder officiating. Entombment will be in Randolph Memorial Park with military honors.

He was a retired textile worker, television repairman and U.S. Army veteran.

Surviving are daughters, Pam Baxter of Greensboro, Robin Wright of Asheboro; sisters, Judy Hall and Ola Mae Trogdon, both of Asheboro, Joyce Lamb of Franklinville; brother, Grady Parris of Asheboro; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.

The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Monday, other times at the home of Robin Wright, 2610 Hayfield Drive, Asheboro.
