Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 18, 2015, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Maxton Craven officiating. Burial will follow at Brower's Chapel Road Cemetery.
A native of Moore County, Mrs. Trogdon was born October 18, 1926 to the late Grady Houston and Maggie Cook Parris. She was a homemaker, who loved her cats, crocheting and the beach. She was a loving "Nannie" to all her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Trogdon was preceded in death by her husband, Harold T. Trogdon, Sr.; brothers, Jim Parris, Grady "Bug" Parris; and sister, Jerry Millholen.
Mrs. Trogdon is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Smith and husband, Randy of Asheboro; sons, Steve Tate and wife, Karen of Florida, Harold Thomas "Tommy" Trogdon, Jr. of Asheboro; Darrell Trogdon and wife, Rosalyn of New London; sisters, Judy Rebecca Hall and Joyce Marie Long, both of Asheboro; grandchildren, Shane Trogdon, Misty Trogdon, Darren Hunt, Alex Tate, George Corrado, Bryan Trogdon and Amanda Beaman; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
