Mrs. Shirley Doby Ross, age 77, passed away June 12th, 2015 at Phobee Putney Memorial Hospital, Albany, GA. Mrs. Ross was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church where she served as a Choir Member, United Methodist Women. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Santa Fe Community College, and attended the University of Florida. Mrs. Ross was preceded in death by her daughter; Michelle Ross.
Mrs. Ross is survived by her children, Hardy Doby, Orlando, FL, Sandra Martin, Detroit, MI, Gail Brown, Gainesville, FL; sister, Corinne Monroe, Thomasville, GA, five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Ross will be held, 1:00pm, Friday, June 19th, 2015 at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, Rev. Geraldine McClellan, Officiating; burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Chestnut Funeral Home, Inc., 18 N.W. 8th Ave., Gainesville, FL.
