Private Caros O. Gibson enlisted in Company H of the 4th Regiment Of Vermont Volunteer Army Of The United States at Brattleboro, Vermont on the 20th day of September 1861, to Serve Four Years; He was born in Rochester in the State of Vermont and is Thirty-One Years of Age,5 Feet 8-3/4 inches high, Dark Complexion, Gray Eyes, Brown Hair, and by occupation when enlisted a Farmer.
Wounded in the thigh by a Rifle Musket Ball October 19, 1864 and Had His Leg Amputated On The Battlefield.
Admitted to Patterson Park U.S.A. General Hospital At Baltimore, Md.,October 23,1864 as a Patient For Diphtheria.


Died November 26,1864 At 10Pm.
