Joseph Charles Poole, 70, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, June 15, 2015, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born July 31, 1944, in Jersey City, NJ, he was the son of the late Charles H. and Catherine Casey Poole and husband of the late Laura Poole.

A veteran of the U. S. Marines, Mr. Poole retired from Parker-Hannifin. He was of the Catholic faith and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 6076.

Survivors include his daughters, Lori Ann Witnik of Spartanburg, SC, Jody Lynn Hencak (William) of Charlotte, NC, and Carol Lee Poole (fiancé, Shawn Burnett) of Spartanburg, SC; grandsons, LCPL David Alan Jackson and Christopher S. Fortner, both of Charlotte, NC; and sister, Linda O'Dell (Wes) of Spartanburg, SC.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, June 18, 2015, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, June 19, 2015, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
