The funeral was held Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Haylock-O'Hara funeral home at Maquoketa. The Rev. John Munchoff, pastor of the Presbyterian church, officiated and burial was made in the Andrew cemetery.
Miss Merritt ws born August 2, 1882, at Ponca, Nebraska, daughter of John C. and Wilminia Shoaff Merritt. She was a lifelog resident of the Andrew community and a member of the Presbyterian church
