Norman Henry Hartig, 90, of Vincennes, Ind., died at 7:45 a.m. Thursday, February 2, 2006 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Ind.

Visitation was Sunday at Goodwin Funeral Home in Vincennes, Ind. Funeral services will be today at the funeral home with Rev. Nathan Rastl officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Vincennes, Ind.

Mr. Hartin was born on August 17, 1915 in Knox Count, Ind., the son of Henry and Pauline (Jording) Harting. He married Ival Stewart Harting.

He was a farmer in the Monroe City area where he resided for many years. He enjoyed selling produce for local farmers. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church.

Mr. Hartin is survived by sons, Larry Harting and his wife, Judith of Columbus, Ind. and Donald Harting and his wife, Jayne of Olney; daughter, Norma Jean Slater and her husband, Bill of Marion, Iowa; two sisters, Hulda Fravel and Selma Blaize both of Evansville, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

H was preceded in death by three brothers; two sisters; his wife; one daughter, Dorothy Flory (Harting) Stroud; his parents; and one granddaughter.

Memorials may be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church.
