Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Urbana Methodist Church, by the Rev. Mike Ellson. Visitation at Murdoch Funeral Home, Center Point, IA from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and at the church one hour before the services Thursday.
Burial: Shiloh Cemetery, Hiawatha, IA.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Jane; three daughters, Janice Sarchett of Center Point, JoAnn (Chuck) Anderson of Frost, MN, and Jill Likens of St. Charles, MO; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Verna Johnson of Independence, IA and Leona (Clarence) Brown of Marion, IA.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Harold and Lyle.
Born May 13, 1917, in Cheney, IA to Charles and Margie Miller Hepker, he married Anna Jane Neve on August 31, 1960, in Sioux Falls, SD. For many years Dale was a farmer and owned the Urbana Construction Co., which specialized in grain bins. He was awarded Master Farmer of the Year in 1948. He built the tallest grain bin in the U.S. for Campbell Soup Co. in Fayetteville, AK. He had received many awards for salesmanship from the Conrad American Grain Bin Co., as well as other companies. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Urbana, and Urbana Lions Club.
