Mr Keefer Earl Adkins, 96, of Roy Shafer Road, Middletown, died Friday, Dec 23, at Citizens Nursing Home, Frederick He was the husband of the late Lottie Routzahn Adkins Born in Middletown, June 4, 1887, he was the son of the late Charles and Ida Shafer Adkins He was a retired farmer. Survivors include two sons, Earl E Adkins, Frederick and John E Adkins, Jefferson, three daughters, Mrs Mary E Godfrey, Washington, D C , Mrs Elva C Castle, Middletown and Mrs Sara J Knox, Clarksburg, one brother Guy Adkins, Middletown, 16 grand children and 17 great-grandchildren Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Tuesday, Dec 27, from the Donald B Thompson Funeral Home, 31 E Main St, Middletown The Revs James Muller and James Jones will officiate Interment will be in Reformed Cemetery, Middletown
