W. Frank Gill, 91, of 1017 Dushane Street passed away the morning of February 3, 2010 in Haven Nursing Home.

He was born April 15, 1918 in Woodland, PA and was the son of the late Wyatt Foresman and Maude Savilla Wilson Gill. He married the former Frances Edith Keller on June 5, 1948. She survives.

Mr. Gill was a teacher and worked at George Washington Intermediate Elementary School, New Castle High School and Lawrence County Career and Technical Center. He retired in 1979.

He was an assistant wrestling coach at New Castle High School and manager of the Fourth Ward Little League.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy where he was a Chief Petty Officer, serving in World War II.

He was a member of Third Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Gill was also a member of the American Legion, AARP and he enjoyed woodworking and macrame'.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons; Jack Gill and wife Charlene and Jeffrey Gill all of New Castle, PA, two grandchildren; Erin and Cary and one great grandchild; Cameron.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers; Orvis Gill, John Gill and David Gill, three sisters; Anna Allen, Sarah McGraw and Maxine Dale and an infant sister; Ethel Gill.
