Frank Box Jr. was born on July 28th, 1943 in Tahlequah, OK the son of Bride Franklin and Nannie Myrtle (Garrison) Box Sr. As a young man, he attended school at Stone Chapel, South of Tahlequah.

On February 18th, 1975, he married the love of his life and constant companion, Beulah Teany at South Bethel. Together they shared five children, James, Troy, Patricia, Joyce and Ruby.

Frank was an inspiration to all who knew him. Even from a wheelchair he was determined to provide for his family and he succeeded. He was the Owner/Operator of Frank's Wood Yard and was constantly out doors cutting wood. He was also a very gifted handyman and could fix about anything he set his mind to. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed working in the yard, playing with his dogs, or visiting with the many friends that would stop by. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a laugh that warmed a room.

He was kind, considerate and would go out of his way to help people whenever he could. He was the happiest man in the world just to spend an afternoon with his family, he loved them dearly and was so very proud of them. Evenings were spent watching comedies with his wife and faithful canine companion Crackerjack at his feet.

Frank never tired, but his body grew weak, and Frank went to his eternal rest on Friday, June 12th, 2015 in Salina, OK with his family by his side. Frank was 71 years old. This loved and familiar face in the Keys community will be greatly missed.

Frank is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Ruby lee Ragland, by two brothers, Roscoe Matthews and his wife Nita, and Doyle Matthews and his wife Georgie. He joins his sisters, Doris Bivin and her husband Richard, Bobbie Goff and her husband Raymond, Bettie Matthews, his half brother, Claude Box and wives Nicki and Ruth, Half Sister, Mary Louise Slape, brother-in-law, Edward Daniels, and his beloved grandson, Dustin Mitchell.
