Dorothy Winifred Johnson, 83, of Show Low, Ariz., formerly of Georgetown, died Friday (June 23, 2006) at RTC Hospice Unit, Lakeside, Ariz.

Mrs. Johnson was born Feb. 17, 1923, in Georgetown, a daughter of Dwight and Bess Harris Haworth. She married George E. Johnson on Feb. 21, 1948. He died in 2001.

Survivors include a daughter, Karen Sue Guthrie of Arizona; a sister, Marilyn Cummings of Danville; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker for many years and a nurse in the OB/Delivery Department at Lakeview Memorial Hospital in Danville. She worked at the Danville Veterans Administration and retired in 1981.

She did volunteer calligraphy work on birth certificates for the obstetrics department and worked in the gift shop at Thunderbird Samaritan Hospital.
