BLUE RIVER - Dale Robert Burke, age 59, of Blue River, died Monday, March 26, 2012, at his home.
He was born in Richland Center on Oct. 31, 1952, the son of Robert and Clara (Hardy) Burke. He graduated from Riverdale High School in 1970 and SWTC in 1971. He went to work in Madison for two years before returning to Blue River to work at Scot Industries until the time of his death. Dale was an avid Packers fan. He enjoyed playing softball, fishing and hunting, and spending time with family and friends. Dale took an annual vacation to Hayward.
Dale is survived by his mother, Clara (Fay) Burke-Grim of Prairie du Chien; sister, Jill (Jim) Nankee of Blue River; nephew and godson, Chad Nankee of Onalaska; godson, Cole Wilkinson of Muscoda; stepbrothers, Gary (Carol) Grim and Phillip Grim; stepsister, Lorna (Stuart) Meyer all of Florida; and many other relatives and friends.
Dale was preceded in death by his father, Robert Burke; paternal grandparents, Matthew and Madelyn Burke; and maternal grandparents, Oscar and Laura Hardy.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 1, 2012, at 3 p.m. at the BLUE RIVER UNITED METHODIST CHURCH with the Rev. Harriett Rowland officiating. Burial will follow in the Blue River Cemetery. Friends may call at the BLUE RIVER UNITED METHODIST CHURCH on Sunday, April 1, 2012, from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 3 p.m.
