Terry Lee Carlsen Floyd, died peacefully knowing the deep love of her family, on Monday, June 15, 2015 in Pocatello, Idaho at the age of 72.
Terry was born on September 15, 1943 in Pocatello, Idaho to Charles M. Carlsen and Marjorie Bosquet Carlsen. She attended Pocatello, High School received her GED. She married Jim W. Allen in 1960. Together they had 2 children, Wendy Jo Allen and Kent C. Allen (KC). In 1998, she married Tommy R. Floyd in Pocatello, ID. Our Terry, Ter-Bear, TerriLee & Grammy Boop was devoted and loyal to those she loved. She was a spit-fire with her sparkling, fun-loving and witty personality as she danced through life. When Terry was determined to do something, there was no stopping her. Her passions were her family and fur babies which was never-ending and touched all who knew her.
Terry was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She put her whole heart into her volunteer work; she was a member of the Bannock Civitans, and gave many years of passionate dedication at the Bannock Humane Society in Pocatello. She worked many years for the City of Pocatello, and loved being the secretary to the Mayor.
Terry is survived by her loyal husband, Tommy R. Floyd of Pocatello, ID, her children who she championed, protected and fiercely loved, daughter, Wendy Jo Allen, Soda Springs, ID, Son, Kent C. Allen (KC), Pocatello, ID, Son, Jeff Floyd (Tiffany), Boise, ID, daughters, Erin Floyd, Tampa, FL, Stephanie Mai (Eric), Boise, ID, her 2 sisters who cherished her, Sandi Carlsen Warren (Kip), Salt Lake City, UT, Christine Carlsen Warren (Kevin), Salt Lake City, UT, and her 4 brothers, Richard C. Carlsen (Nancy), Pocatello, ID., Stephen B. Carlsen, Blackfoot, ID, Denny R. Carlsen, Pocatello, ID, and her baby brother, Skip Carlsen (Debbie), Farmington, UT. Her Special Granddaughter whom she loved as a daughter, Trista Catherine Dexter (Rob), Grandaughters: Shala Floyd, Kiera Mai, Kallen Mai, Oliva Howard, and Grandson James Russell (Sommer), 5 Gr. Grandchildren, and her nieces and nephews who are precious to their Aunt Terry.
She is preceded in death by her Father: Charles M. Carlsen, Mother: Marjorie B. Bosquet, Step-Father, Parley Swainston, and Grandson: Austin Mallow.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 19, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello, 232-0542. Family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-8 pm and one hour prior to services at the funeral home, Friday. Interment will be in the Mt. View Cemetery, Pocatello.
