Funeral services for Robert Edward Hinton, Sr. will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, November 10, 2018 in the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home Chapel, Overton. A graveside service will then be held at Highland Memorial Garden in Terrell at 2:00pm.

Mr. Hinton passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018 in in Longview. He was born April 29, 1927 in Terrell to the late Horace Franklin Hinton and Nanny Frances Borders Hinton. Mr. Hinton was crew foreman at Texas Power and Light for 37 years. He was in the Navy during WWII on the USS Vincennes. Robert enjoyed fishing, drinking coffee with his friends, bowling, was a dedicated Rangers fan and enjoyed time with his family.

Besides his parents, Mr. Hinton was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth.

Survivors include two children and a daughter-in-law, Charlotte Easley and Robert Edward Hinton, Jr. and his wife Judy, all of New London; five grandchildren, Katrina Kaye Duke and husband Mickey, Sherry Melissa Pesta and husband Jeremy, Brad Thomas and wife Mandy, Tobbi Huffman and husband Jeffrey, and Robert Edward Hinton III and wife Kristen; and eleven great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Zachary Easley, Kolbie Duke, Mickey Duke, Brad Thomas, Robert Edward Hinton III, Corey LeCroy and Jeremy Pesta. Honorary pallbearers are the Coffee Drinkers at DQ.
