John Lee Kyle, 43, of Creek Road, Carlisle, died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006, in the York Hospital.
Born on Sept. 3, 1962, in Carlisle, he was the son of Peggy Hair Snyder, Carlisle, and John Alan Kyle, Carlisle.
John was a graduate of Big Spring High School, where he played football and baseball. He was employed by U-Haul in Carlisle as a mechanic. He was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Plainfield, and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 1299, Carlisle. John loved hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He also loved sports, motorcycles and playing golf.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, Beverly A. Killian Kyle; two sons, John Eugene and Bo Kenyon Kyle, both of Newville; his stepfather, John K. Snyder, Carlisle; his stepmother, Daree S. Kyle, Carlisle; his maternal grandmother, Julia Hair, Newville; his paternal grandmother, Evelyn G. Kyle, Shippensburg; and his half-sister, Stephanie Martin, Mechanicsburg. He was preceded in death by half-sister, Kimberly L. Kyle.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, in the Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Pastor Shad Baker officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.
