Mary E. Page, 80, of Ovid, passed away January 8, 1984 at the Ingham Medical Center, Lansing.

Avelyn Clyde ("Avie" or "A.C.") Page (b. December 28, 1879; d. June 25, 1957, Ovid, Michigan) married Mary Elma Mendenhall (b. March 17, 1903 in Economy, Indiana; d. 1984). Mary was the daughter of Newman Sylvester Mendenhall (b. circa 1875) and Lydia Luella Marshall Mendenhall. Mary had one son by a previous marriage. A.C. played in Ringling Brothers band & traveled all over the country and operated a nursery on M-21 in Ovid, Michigan. A.C. and Mary had one daughter and three sons. In addition to her immediate family, Mary was survived by one brother, Raymond Mendenhall.

She and her husband, Avelyn Page, were married in 1928 and operated a nursery business in the Ovid area from 1934 to 1957. They also had a stall at the Lansing City Market for 30 years. Mr. Page preceded her in death in 1957.
