HENRY J. KOBLER Dies Native of Westmoreland
Henry J. Kobler, 114 S. .James St., former Wright Settlement farmer, died in the Rome Hospital at 7:10 o'clock this morning. Death was attributed to natural causes by Thomas A. Cox, coroner. Mr. Kobler was born in Westmoreland, June 24, 1870, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kobler. He had lived in this vicinity all his life, coming to Rome from Wright Settlement two years ago. He was a member of the Lutheran Church at Churchville.
Surviving with his widow, the former Mrs. Fred Bashaine, whom he married on February 24, 1925, are two daughters by a previous marriage to Mrs. Jacob Dietch, Mrs. Walter Finster, Lee Center, and Mrs., Clarence Waterman, Rome; two step-sons, Maurice Deitch, Utica, and C. B. Backus, Pittsfield, Mass., and two step-daughters, Mrs. Maynard Myers, Rome, and Mrs. Charles Cook, Utica. There is also a brother, George, New London, and several grandchildren.

Funeral services for Henry J. Kobler were held at the Griffin & Aldridge funeral home at 2 o'clock this afternoon. The Rev. W. H. Linstead, pastor of the Free Methodist Church, officiated. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Rich sang "Walk Beside Me" and Zion' Hill ." Flowers were received from neighbors, relatives and friends, The bearers were Walter Finster, Clarence Waterman, Maynard Myers and George Wakefield. Interment was made in Churchville cemetery.
