Russell, 98, Continental, died at 6:10 a.m., at the Meadows of Kalida.
He was the son of William and Cora (Demland) Hoffman. On May 21, 1937, he married Wanda I. Green, who preceded him in death.
Surviving are two sons: William (Kay), Ft. Myers, FL, and Timothy (Mary Jo), Continental; a daughter, Karen (Ron) Cooper, Oakwood; and eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Roxann Hoffman; a grandson; a great-grandson; a brother; and three sisters.
A member of Defiance Christian Church, and Continental Masonic Lodge #570, he was a full time farmer for over 65 years and farmed in Florida during the 1950's. He and his wife were winter Texans for over 30 years.
A Memorial Service will be at Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Continental, with Pastor Steven Heilshorn officiating. Burial will follow in Monroe Cemetery, Continental.
