Wayne L. Anderson, 74, of Twin Falls, died Saturday, September 20, 2003 at his home.
He was born June 22, 1929, the son of Jens Madsen and Leona Damgaard Anderson in Minden, Nebraska.
He lived in Wilcox, Nebraska until moving to Twin Falls with his family in 1941. He graduated from the Twin Falls High School in 1947. On July 1, 1950 he married Margrett Crowson.
Wayne worked for Idaho Egg and relocated to Boise in 1958 where, after leaving Idaho Egg, he worked for Prudential Insurance Company. In 1974 he purchased the Maico Hearing Aid dealership in Twin Falls, a business he owned until retirement this year.
Wayne was an active member of the Twin Falls First Church of the Nazarene, where the Nazarene World Missions Society presented him with the Distinguished Service Award, recognizing his years of service as church treasurer and board member, among other things.
Wayne held all state offices in the Idaho State Hearing Aid Society, served with the Bureau of Occupation Licenses Self Governing Agencies for Hearing, an agency where he served as chairperson for two years. He was a member of the International Hearing Aid Society and the Tri-State Hearing Aid Society, where he served on their Board of Directors.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Margrett, of Twin Falls; two children, Rev. Dr. Harold W. Anderson of Brush, Colorado and Karen (Brian) Crider of Twin Falls; one grandson, David Wayne Crider of Twin Falls; his mother, Leona Anderson of Twin Falls; two brothers, Donald C. (Marian) Anderson of Twin Falls and Chester E. (Cordella) Anderson of Meridian; and one sister, Arlene D. (Calvin) Miller of Lancaster, California. In 1973 his father preceded Wayne in death.
Funeral services for Wayne Anderson will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2003, at the Twin Falls First Church of the Nazarene, with Rev. Jerry Kester officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may call at White Mortuary "Chapel by the Park" from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. The family suggests memorials to the Twin Falls First Church of the Nazarene, 1232 Washington Street N, Twin Falls, Idaho 83301, or Home Health and Hospice, 708 Shoshone Street, Twin Falls, Idaho.
