Mike Morgan,45,of Abilene died Monday,January 6,2014 at MD Anderson after a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m.Friday,January 10,2014 at Elmwood Funeral Home Hwy 277 in Abilene.
Mike was born August 22,1968 in Pensacola,Florida to George Eddie Morgan and Linda Summers.
After moving from Oregon to Abilene in his early teens he graduated from Cooper High School. In 2004 Mike graduated from Texas State Technical College and was a Licensed Airplane Mechanic working for Aero for more than 8 years.
Mike was also an accomplished guitarist and cornerstone of the Abilene music community. He has been in several successful bands from the Abilene area and his music has been played on the radio internationally.
On May 22,2010 he married Holli Fain,the true love of his life,in Las Vegas,Nevada.
Mike is survived by his wife Holli of Abilene;three daughters, Miranda Morgan,Jordan Mauney and Emily Johnson all of Abilene;one son Taylor Brantner of Abilene; two brothers,David Morgan and wife Sandra of Abilene and Chris Summers and wife Stephane of Abilene;his mother,Linda Summers of Abilene;his father, George Morgan of Oregon;in-laws Robert and Vickie Fain of Abilene;one brother-in-law Jason Fain and wife Kristin of Abilene;one granddaughter,Annabelle Morgan.
