Obituary for Lothair Dauner

Sawyer - W. Lothair Dauner, 83, of Sawyer, KS, died Friday, June 12, 2015 at Kansas Heart Hospital, Wichita, KS.
He was born on June 24, 1931 in Wichita, KS, the son of William Theodore Dauner and Hazel Dell (Combs) Dauner. On October 2, 1949 he married Carol (Pride) Dauner in Sawyer, KS. She preceded him in death on May 18, 2009.
Lothair was a lifelong farmer and a member of the Sawyer United Methodist Church, where he was the Sunday School Superintendent. He was on the Skyline School Board for 26 years, was Pratt County Commissioner for 6 years, and the Pratt County Fair Superintendent for 31 years. Lothair was a 4-H Leader and a member of the Sawyer City Council.
Surviving are two sons, Darin Dauner of Sawyer, KS and Lyle (Cathy) Dauner of Mankato, KS; two daughters, Kyra Dauner of Sawyer, KS and Betha Dauner of Wichita, KS; four grandchildren, Krystle Dauner, Christopher (Callie) Dauner, Jennifer (Wyatt) Harris, Tanner (Jasmin) Dauner and four great-grandchildren, Ethan, Sawyer, and Delaney Harris and Charley Dauner.
Visitation will be Monday and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 6 – 8 Tuesday at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt, KS Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Pratt. Burial will be in Ellenwood Cemetery, Sawyer, KS.
Memorials may be made to the Sawyer United Methodist Church, the Skyline School Foundation or the Pratt County 4-H Foundation in care of the mortuary.
