A resident of Albert Lea until three years ago, Lars P. Pederson [Pedersen] died at 9 p.m. Sunday at St. Luke's hospital in St. Paul. He was 71 years of age.
Mr. Pedersen was born March 4, 1880 in Coulter, Iowa, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nels Pedersen. He resided in Coulter until 1919 when the family moved to Albert Lea. The Pedersen's went to St Paul to make their home in 1949.
He had been a farmer most of his life, and was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church here. His wife is the former Amelia Jensen, whom he married in Plainview, Neb in 1907.
Funderal services will be conducted by the Rev. Mr. Carlson of St Paul at 1:30 pm Wednesday at the Bonnerup and Sons funeral chapel. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery.
Mr. Pedersen is survived by his wife; four sons, Howard and Axcel Pedersen of St. Paul, Sgt. Hobert Pedersen of Denver, Colo. and Richard Pedersen of Detroit, Mich. Three daughters, Mrs. Edward Dufresne of White Bear Lake and Mrs. Stewart Smith and Mrs. Joseph Krejci of St. Paul. A daughter preceded Mr. Pedersen in death.
Friends may call at the Bonnerup and Sons chapel until time of services.
