Saturday morning. He had been ill only a few days, and his death was a severe
shock to his family and friends. Mr. Crandall was born in Sherburne,
July 13, 1869. and the family moved to Brookfield when he was a young boy.
He resided here in his early years, and on Nov. 15, 1889, was united in marriage
with Miss Frances Cook of Brookfield. Following their marriage they moved to
East Branch, Delaware county, where they lived for six years. They then moved to Cazenovia, where they also lived for six years. For the past two years they made their home in Clayville and Sauquoit.He was employed at the Clayville Foundry. He was a dependable man, well liked and highly respected. He was especially devoted to his family and was a kind father and good husband.
Besides his wife, Mr. Crandall is survived by two daughters and two sons, H.
Amanda, E. Regina, F. Lyman and C. Leslie Crandall, all at home; by two sisters,
Mrs. Earl Miner of Clayville and Mrs. George Penner of Maryland, Otsego
county, and by two brothers, Jefferson C. Crandall of Oneonta and Arba Crandall
of Brookfield. The funeral of Mr. Crandall was held from his late home at 10 o'clock Monday.
