Wilbur (Bill) Carl Foster, 50, a former Grinnellian, died Saturday, Oct. 29th, at an Oskaloosa hospital.

Funeral services were held Nov. 3rd at the Newman funeral chapel with the Rev. Donald Gibson in charge. Burial was in Forest cemetery.

The son of Ralph and Ethel Vaughn Foster, he was born at Grinnell on April 27th, 1916. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Oskaloosa Elks Lodge No. 340, and the First Congregational church.

For several years Mr. Foster and his wife managed the operations of a country club, but he was more recently employed at Productive Acres Mfg. Co. in Oskaloosa.

He is survived by his wife, Vivian Worthy Foster; a daughter, Mrs. Britt (Phyllis) Podhajsky of Iowa City; three sons, Bill Jr. in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam, and David and Dale at home; three sisters, Mrs. Carl (Doris) Binegar of Grinnell, Mrs. Lawrence (Clara) Wallis of Grinnell, and Mrs. Ed (Edna) Erickson of Marshalltown; and two brothers, Orville of Newton and Bennie of Fairfield.
