Nolan was a joy to all of us and we will miss him dearly. He had such a sweet spirit and smile, an infectious laugh, dimples to envy, and blue eyes to get lost in. He loved chasing Titan, his puppy, in his walker. He loved pizza, squash, and watching Sponge Bob. His favorite song was "Ten Thousand Angels."
He was the first baby boy born to the family in over fifty years on his maternal side. His love of frogs will always be cherished in his legacy. Even though his life was short, he touched many and left a lasting impact as well as fond memories. He especially enjoyed his cousin Ryleigh reading and singing to him.
He is survived by his mother, Sarah Elizabeth Williams and his father, Clayton Michael Able. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Sheila "Memaw" Williams and Spud "Pop-Pop' Williams; his paternal grandparents, Lisabeth "Maize" Guffy and Frank "Poppa" Polek; his maternal great grandparents, Ross "GG" and Fran "Nana" Crebbs; his paternal great grandparents, Colonel Howard "Granddaddy" and Jean "Monnie" Guffey; his auntie and uncle, Bethany and Matt Birckhead, who he cherished, and his cousin, Raleigh Nicole Birkhead. He is further survived by his siblings, Dayla, Hailey, Michaelynn, and Clayton Abel; his aunts and uncles, Ryan and Michael Savino, Ashley and Brian Thompson, Clara and Molly Ann Wincek, and Drew Edward Able; a great aunt, Evonne Evans; a great uncle, Mike Guffey; and cousins, Katie and Karen Collins, Sarah Guffey, and Kristen Trask.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Edward Glen Abel.
The family will receive visitors at the Preddy Funeral Home in Gordonsville Virginia, on Monday, June 15 2015, from 6 until 8 p.m. The celebration of Nolan's life will also be held at the Preddy Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow the service at the Mechanicsville Baptist Church.
