Leona McCrary Welch, 66, of Callahan went home to be with the Lord on April 21, 2015.
Leona was born on January 20, 1949 in in Jacksonville FL to the late George and Rosa McCrary. She retired from Wal-Mart in 2010 as a door greeter at the Yulee store. She loved trailing and camping with her husband, enjoyed listening to Elvis and the oldies and absolutely adored her dog “Tinker Bell. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years; Lesley Welch, daughter; Sherry (Curtis) Morgan, son; Robert Welch, granddaughters; Eren Welch, Joanna (Charlie) Cox, Ashley (Freddy) Calvo, Brittany (Pete) Bushey, Zoey Tingley and Lesley Welch, her first great-grandson; Luka Calvo, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son; Ronald Welch.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday May 2, 2015 at the Nassau Funeral home beginning at 11:00am.
