From The Huntsville Times, Sunday, June 6, 1982 and a 2nd, unnamed paper. Died Saturday at Huntsville Hospital. Funeral at 4 p.m. today at Rainey Funeral Home chapel with Ed Burrow and Houston Shannon [his cousin] officiating. Nephews were pallbearers. Survivors include his wife, Nadine Whitt Bailey; three sons, Donald Bailey and 2 living sons; three daughters, Laurene Schrimsher, Sue Turner and 1 living; four brothers, Leamon Bailey, Roy Lee Bailey, A.D. and 1 living; four sisters, Elsie Smith, Lily Mae Brooks, Vera Smith of Huntsville and 1 living; 14 grandchildren.
