Pottersville, MO
Teresa ("Terrie") Lynn Burnett,(daughter of Macel and Betty Jefferson) 62 years, 8 months, and 5 days old, stepped gently from this life into eternity on June 11, 2015 at the home she shared with her husband Darrell in Pottersville, Missouri.
Terrie stitched her life to Darrell’s 22 years ago and together fashioned a life filled with love for their children Geoffrey Graham, Lisa & Dave Clemenson, Lyndi Graham, Travis Burnett, & Melissa Burnett and embellished with grandchildren Rachel, Carter, Coler, Chance, Machi, Lyla, Colton, Coy, Haylun, Kelby, & Cabot. She leaves behind her father, Macel Jefferson, sister Shari & Mike Maillet, brother Eric Jefferson, as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends sprinkled across the country.
Her life was embroidered with creativity evident from the home she decorated in her own unique style to the fashions and quilts she crafted; her artistry evident from custom stained-glass creations to distinctive hand-made decorations and individualized caskets.
Sharp enough to prepare taxes and manage finances, sensible enough to help with haying and nurture a garden, Terrie was always flexible in adapting to the changes life presented; light-hearted enough to participate in tractor-pulling competitions but ultimately wise enough to rely on God for direction in her life.
Life is fleeting and death comes to all; but while we grieve her passing from this life, we can rejoice in her testimony of eternal life in Christ. And for those who share the gift of salvation there is assurance that we will see her again.
Wherefore comfort one another with these words. I Thessalonians 4:18
