Mae B. Bryant left this world to join her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 4th, 2015.
Mae was born February 7th, 1930 in Whitley City, Ky. She was the daughter of the late Tommy and China Dugger. She was the middle child of two older sisters, one younger sister, and one younger brother, all of which preceded her in death. She married the late Dock J. Bryant on July 16th, 1947. Together they raised two outstanding children at their residence 57 W. Riverside Dr. Peru, IN.
Church was a big part of Mae's life. She was a faithful attendee, worshiper, and prayer warrior for the Family Fellowship Church of God. She was also well-known for her many years of service at Mr. B's Laundromat. She retired from there in 1996 and left behind many customers who became friends. After retirement, she spent her time gardening and tending to her flowers and experiencing the joys and highlights of her family that she loved so much.
She is survived by her two children, Roy (Teresa) Bryant, and Darlene (Chris) Johnson. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Roy Jr. (Hope) Bryant, Rodney (Tammi) Bryant, Robin (Terry) Newsome, Sarah (Jeremy) Winters, Courtney Johnson, and Landon Johnson. Also, she was blessed by her 13 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. at the Family Fellowship Church of God at 360 Harrison Ave. in Peru, where she was a devoted member of the congregation. Burial will follow at the Rankin Cemetery.
Friends and relatives are invited and may call at the Flowers Leedy Funeral Home Monday June 8th from 4-7 p.m.
