Services for Mrs. Alma Knopp Gold, 81, of Fredericksburg were held last Saturday in St. Mary's Church with interment in St. Mary's Cemetery. A devotional service was held Jan. 16 in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home, all in Fredericksburg, followed by a rosary service by the St. Ann's Society represented by Mrs. Paul Hartmann. She died Jan. 15 in Nix Memorial Hospital in San Antonio.
She was born July 27, 1899 in Gillespie County and Married Guenther "Woody" Gold on Jan. 12, 1928 in Fredericksburg. He preceded her in death on Apr. 8, 1979.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerome and Judy Gold of Uvalde and George and Earleen Gold of San Antonio; two sisters, Mrs. V. B. Pyka and Mrs. Roman Peter, both of Fredericksburg and five grandchildren.
