Tina Clarice Hudson, 88, passed away on June 5, 2015 at the home of her daughter in Buckeye. A native Arizonan, Tina was a gifted artist, a church pianist, a racecar driver, and a beloved mother of four. Born in Tempe, April 10, 1927 to Harry Goldie and Therese Maben she was the second of seven children. At the age of nine her family moved to the small rural town of Laveen. It was there she met and married farmer Radius A. Hudson. Tina was very proud of her hot blue race car and spent many evenings alongside her husband racing at tracks around Arizona including Mazanita Speedway. An ASU alum, Tina was active for many years in organizations that promoted agriculture and the Republican Party. This included her time as Chairman for the Arizona Farm Bureau Women's Committee. A charter member of the Laveen Baptist Church, she served as their pianist for many years and then later for the New Life Baptist Church in west Phoenix. After her children were grown she moved to Sedona to pursue her love of the arts. She spent many years honing her talents in sculpting and painting, and hiking the beautiful red rocks seeking inspiration. Tina is survived by her sisters Ruth Cheatham, and Carroll (Jim) Pierce, brother Caleb (Alice) Goldie, children; Janette Hudson, David (Kathy) Hudson, Bonnie Hudson, Rex (Sandra) Hudson, 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and 24 nieces and nephews.
