He was a D.J. for Zebra Mix 96 KMAG, a member of the Goddard United Methodist Church and a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He played Jesus in the Great Passion Play in Eureka Springs for six seasons.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen of the home; two sons, Jacob Carter and David Carter both of Fort Smith; one sister Linda Hoffmeyer of Pasadena, TX.
Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Monday June 15, 2015 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home in Fort Smith with burial in U.S. National Cemetery with full military honors.
