Guillermo "Willie" Ramirez died on Monday, June 19, in Chinle, Ariz. He was born in San Vicente, Mexico.

He was a father to nine children and one-step-daughter, including his sons, Guillermo "Willie" Jr. of Mexico, Lorenzo Ramirez of Barstow, Calif., Pablo Ramirez of Fort Defiance; daughters, Patricia and Connie Ramirez, both of San Vicente, Mexico, Dorothy Ramirez of Baja, Mexico, Dolores Ramirez of Barstow, Calif., Yvette Sanchez of Belen, Morena Ramirez of Fort Defiance, Ariz., and step-daughter, Tiffany Ramirez, also of Fort Defiance.

Willie had 24 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by many friends in New Mexico.

Services for Willie Ramirez were held June 24 in Gallup. Burial followed in a family plot of Samuel H. Damon Sr. Cemetery in Goat Springs, Ariz.

Willie will be greatly missed — his great personality, laughter and wonderful heart.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Ramirez. Tse Bonito Mortuary in Gallup was in charge of arrangements.
