Betty Louise McLeskey, 89, longtime resident of Salinas, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2015 in Salinas. Betty was the only child born to Bud and Bessie Stewart on August 14, 1925 in Alamogordo, New Mexico.

She grew up on a ranch in the Tularosa Basin and was a graduate of Alamogordo High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Frank McLeskey in 1944. They traveled the world over the course of Frank's military career as a pilot in the Navy, Army and various private companies.

Betty lived all over the United States and in many other countries; Iran, Vietnam, Peru and England. After Frank's retirement; they travelled extensively in their RV and developed many friendships throughout the country.

Betty's family would like to thank staff at Madonna Manor and Brookdale-Salinas for their care and attention.

Betty is survived by
her son, Norman (Sue) McLeskey and granddaughters, Heather and Bonnie.

She is preceded in death by
her husband, Frank McLeskey in 1991 and her son, Dennis McLeskey in 2002.

Betty will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Frank, at the Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego, CA.
