Roger Blankenship, 69, of Oceana, WV, passed away on Monday June 8, 2015 in Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, OH.
He was born on February 4, 1946 a son of the late Halsey Blankenship (Deceased) and Belle Toler-Blankenship (Deceased). In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a three brothers Truman Blankenship (1926-1996), Danny Blankenship (Deceased) and Jolle Blankenship (Deceased); and a sister Lois Blankenship (Deceased).
Survivors include his wife Maggie Vicie Hendricks-Lester-Blankenship (1943-2015); a daughter Tina Renee Blankenship-Cook (1967-2016) of LA; a son Roger (Angie) Blankenship, Jr. of Charleston; two sisters Betty Blankenship of OK and Shirley Blankenship-Toler of Brenton; three grandchildren; and a host of other loving family and friends. He was married previously to Betty Jean Massey (1950-2016) on July 21, 1966 in Lynco, Wyoming County, WV (Per WV Marriage License Register, Wyoming County, WV, 1966, Page 464, Application Date: July 19, 1966).
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 13, 2015 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV, with Sister Patty Morgan and Bro. Larry Morgan officiating. He will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV.
