Ruby Virginia Hudson, 95, of Greenville, died Saturday, June 11, 2011, in Briarcliff Health Center. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel officiated by Randy Daw.Interment will be in Forest Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hudson was born near Jacobia, in Hunt County, on Aug. 13, 1915. She was the daughter of Bradley Daugherty and Cora Sprinkle Daugherty. On Sept. 11, 1937, she married W. R. "Buddy" Hudson in Greenville.
She was a homemaker and member of the Johnson Street Church of Christ and Liberty Home Demonstration Club.
She is survived by a daughter, Jean Morris and husband, Jim of Greenville; son, Weldon Keith Hudson and wife, Jo Anne of Tulsa, Okla.; grandchildren, Brad Morris and wife Cyndy of Lubbock, Jill Jones and husband, Scotty of Newport Coast, California, Kathleen Wilkinson and husband, Jeff of Beaumont, Rachel Hudson Levea and husband Brian of Midland, Travis Weldon Hudson of Midland, Emily Anne Hudson of College Station, Amanda Kathryn Hudson Toth and husband, Taylor of Tulsa, Okla.; great-grandchildren, Macy Morris, Michael Morris, Mallory Morris, Ruby Wilkinson, Jack Wilkinson, Ellison Jones and Grant Matthew Levea; sisters-in-law Helen Henson and Joann Hall; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1995; parents; two brothers and eight sisters.
The family will like to thank the nurses and staff at Briarcliff Health Center and Hospice Plus for their tender care of Mrs. Hudson.
